Q: Is it compatible with new Internet Explorer 7?

A: Yes. The Ads Filter is fully compatible with most recent IE7 version for win32 platform.

Q: Does it work with third-party IE-based browser's like MyIE, AOL, Avant and others?

A: Yes, it will work well, but the browser should support loading of IE BHO (browser helper object) plugins. For example: The AdsFilter works well with Maxthon browser (see the next question).

Q: How to use AdsFilter with Maxthon browser?

A: The Maxthon is an IE-based browser and it supports loading of BHO plugins. So, you can easily configure Maxthon to use AdsFilter by following the simple steps listed below:

Make sure Maxthon is not running.
Go to the folder where Maxthon is installed.
Open Config subfolder and find the plugins.ini file.
Open this file with your favorite plain-text editor (f.ex. notepad).
Add bLoadBHO=1 value into the [IEPlugins] section and save file.
Run Maxthon and click on Options->Maxthon Options...
In opened dialog select Plugin->IE Plugin and make sure the Enable IE plugin Support is enabled.
Enable the Ads Filter BHO plugin and click Ok.

Now the Ads Filter will work with Maxthon browser but with one limitation: the Ads Filter Bar will not appear in Maxthon but you always can use IE to configure Ads Filter. All filters and settings will be shared between IE and Maxthon.
